| Peanut Butter Cups | | My mom's absolute favorite food in the whole world is peanut butter cups. Unfortunately, she's allergic to soy. And pretty much all chocolate has soy lecithin in it. So she hasn't had peanut butter cups in years. Well, I found some soy-free chocolate chips for sale online, and I want to use them to make her some peanut butter cups for Christmas! Does anyone know of a recipe for peanut butter cups that uses chocolate chips?I found one online that mixes chocolate chips with vegetable shortening. The only shortening I have on hand is Crisco, and that has soy in it. Next time I go to the grocery store, I'll look for shortening that isn't made from soy, but I'm not sure if I'll find any. I've heard that Spectrum Organic Shortening is soy-free, and I think they sell that at the local health food store. So hopefully I'll be able to use that. But it would be nice to have some sort of back up plan. So if you have any recipes at all for peanut butter cups that use chocolate chips, I would greatly appreciate it! | |

| Peanut Butter Balls | | My husband loves peanut butter balls. Every year he asks his stepmother to make some and she says she might and she never does. I've never made them before and I don't even know how to make them. He said he wants her to make him some this year since he hasn't had any in years but she probably won't make them. I would make some for him but I know they probably won't turn out as good as hers. But I might look up a simple peanut butter ball recipe and try to make them. Do you make peanut butter balls for the holidays? Or is there anything that someone just loves to eat and you make it specially for them during the holidays? | |

| Peanut Butter, Jelly, & Captain Crunch Hot Dogs? | | Ewwwwwwww apparently there is a restaurant that serves these in Alberta Canada. The owner use to sell hot dogs in a bar. I guess after a night of drinking, people's livers crave major junk food but I never imagined that they would turn to something like that. There were many more odd types of hot dogs they sold.
Another one had a weiner wrapped in bacon then covered in onions and ham and topped with a fried egg. He was putting some kind of sauce on it too but I don't recall what exactly it was. Then they showed a guy eating the Peanut Butter, Jelly and Captain Crunch cereal hot dog and they called it the Captains Hot Dog. The man said it was really actually good. Would you try a hotdog like this? | |
