What are they and why won't you go there?I once heard some pretty nasty things about the upkeep of Taco Bells and wouldn't eat there for years. They just opened a new one by my office, and I did go a couple of times but was not comfortable with it.My co-workers will not go to Starbucks because there was a recent rumor circulating that they would not support the troops or the war efforts.I absolutely hate shopping at Wal-Mart! | Advertisements on myLot... | | It has been said that people mind advertising a lot less when it is relevant to their wants, needs and interests...
It seems like myLot does a pretty good job of making sure that its advertisements are related to our interests...
At least the ones that are interspersed throughout the site are....I will not say as much about the annoying banners which are so loud that they cause my startle reflex to go into full gear and me to jump up off my seat like a large jack in the box.What do you think about the advertising on myLot... Do you find that most of it is relevant to your interests or to the discussions being posted?
Do you like it being more tailored to you than it is at some other sites?

| Sounds that we don't like to hear.... | | There are some sounds that just get to us...I really have a hard time with loud noises, especially when I am busy paying attention to other things. I jump up like a jack in the box.
I also really dislike hearing fingers on a chalk board, cats in heat and the sound of a Santa Ana Wind which is loud because usually there is alwo along witht the sound of the intense gusts of wind, the sound of things like my pots and planters falling over.What are the noises that you dislike? | you need a degree for fast food now?!?! | | i was bored.. as usual.. and i was checking out manager jobs at like wendys and jack in the box and they both wanted you to have a 2 year college degree to be a manager.. um.. why would some one go to college for 2 years to go be a manager at a fast food place?? i mean some people may like that but i wouldnt see how it would end up evening out money wise on how much college cost compared to the job.. are they just trying to raise the standard for employees? | |
